It can be hard to ask a young person to commit to one field of university study or career without having experienced much of the world. A gap year may give them the clarity and experience they need to make such a pivotal decision.
Many universities have reported that gap year students achieve better results and are more committed after experiencing the world! Allow your child to take a break, have some fun, collect stories and make memories. Experience suggests that they will be more than ready to settle in to study on their return home.
Create confidence and establish independence
A Gap Year is your child’s time to flourish, explore, experience and immerse in a new culture. By living in another country, your child is taking charge and becoming independent. While we’ll be on hand to offer guidance, the thrill of blazing their trail and making a life abroad is enormous and the personal growth that they’ll experience is immeasurable.

Experienced Staff
Letz Live has built a reputation on providing support for gap participants and families alike, before and during their gap year experience. Our team is a mix of young staff and experienced directors who all have a hands-on approach with each programme. We are on a first-name basis with all participants, making a connection over emails and phone calls.
Making Connections
Each year Letz Live creates a unique Gap group page on Facebook for participants only, to network and support one another. School staff are very supportive and welcome gap participants into their boarding houses. At any time if your child does need support their placement school staff are experienced in recognising and supporting homesickness and any other issues that may arise.
Country Managers
Each participant is aligned with a country manager. From the initial interview, application process and travel planning, your child will have the same country manager. During their year abroad the country manager will travel abroad for a school visit to ensure the placement is running smoothly.
